The doc looked at my girlfriend and asked her to bend her knees and bring the soles of her feet to her bottom, then drop her knees apart and let them fall right open. 
The doc then adjusted her position and the light, and tried to turn it on. She tried for a little while, while my girlfriend was in position, but then gave up and asked her to wait a few moments. As she had already taken off her clothes, the doc just said “straighten your legs, and put this sheet over you, I’ll be back in a moment.” 
So my girlfriend was just lying there, albeit covered, and had the door opened and the story explained so everyone could hear. She was quite embarrassed, especially as she could tell that people in the waiting room could see her.
